Daycare
I have a problem with one of my Daycare parents. Actually, I have many problems with them. The mother brings the little 2 year old boy in every morning, dressed in his pajama's, and he has a soggy diaper. She probably just rips him out of bed. Then she practically throws him at me as soon as they come in the door. He cries every morning. (Hmmm.. I wonder why?) He's a good kid, and I feel really bad for him. It's not over yet, guess who comes to pick the little boy up in the afternoon? The 8 year old big brother. I don't care if they live around the corner, that's just plain wrong! What would happen if as soon as they left the daycare, some stranger came along and took one or both of them? O.k. now for the dad. As soon as he found out that my mother-in-law got a job, he was all of a sudden interested in picking his kid up. The very first time he picked him up, he tried to shake my hand. I can't even look him in the eye, he's such a pervert! Now, my father comes over when the pervert picks up his kid. (Just in case he tries anything). Everytime I see him, I think of Joe Millionare, "Uhh.. I don't have 50 million dollars." These people are real winners. If anyone wants to start a daycare, please talk to me first. Thanks.

Lots O' kids here today. I told my friends Dave and Vicky to bring their three kids over. I was only watching one daycare kid, so it wouldn't be too much to handle. My kids are the ones that are too much to handle. I sometimes kid around with one of my other girlfriends, Krista. We want to trade our kids for one day. She has two girls, and I have two boys, so it would be even. She would realize that she probably won't want to have anymore kids after watching my boys. And I would realize that I do want more kids, especially if they are girls. I love my boys and I would only trade them for one day, not forever, I promise.
Anyhow, so I absolutly love babysitting for my friends. Dave and Vicky hadn't had a babysitter in a whole month. The grandparents are on vacation. I don't know what I would do if the grandparents were gone for a whole month. I would go batty, and bald! I wish I could've watched the Perrigan kids all day, they only stayed long enough for Dave and Vic to shampoo their carpets, (2 hrs). Daisy is the youngest, and the sweetest. They're all sweet, but she's so little and adorable. Sam and Josh are the same age, and they're classmates. They played very well together, and didn't argue once. (Josh had a mini meltdown, but it was only from his own frustrations). Rachel was my big helper today, I wish she could be here every day. I guess I would have to homeschool her then, huh? Anyways, I love you guys, and I'll be praying for you.

Blessed Easter

I had a wonderful day, but very busy. We went to church, I sang a solo for the first time since I was twelve years old. I was a little bit nervous right before I was about to sing. Other than that, it went well. My worship leader came up to me afterwards and asked, "So, what solo do you want to sing next?" Well, we'll take it one day at a time. We went to my In- laws for an easter egg hunt for the boys, lots of melting chocolate is all I have to say. Next, we went to my parents house to eat lunch and visit. 14 people altogether there. Caleb did not have a nap, so he was pretty much useless by the time it came to leave and go back to my in-laws. We stayed there until about 8:30p.m. (Sigh), I'm pooped! Joshua is still awake downstairs. Apparently he didn't get enough to eat today, so he's eating dinner at 10p.m. I, on the other hand, needed to drink some Mylanta. I overindulged myself with the wonderful array of delicious food at my mom's house.

We went to Sea World on Friday. It was very crowded, but we had fun. Caleb doesn't like Polar Bears. He calls them "Idiot, Poopy, Polar Bears." He got a little scrared when we went into the pretend cave that they had. There was growling sounds coming from the speakers and it frightened the ever loving crud out of him. He also hates the Poopy Sharks that swam over us in the Shark Encounter. He liked to look at the Dolphins, Killer Whales and the Bat Rays. He didn't want to touch the Bat Rays or the Dolphins though. I don't think I need to tell you how much Joshua loved this day. He'd been longing for this trip to Sea World. Actually, he would rather go there than Disneyland, or any other theme park for that matter. Did you now that there are three things that eat Beluga Whales? Polar Bears, Killer Whales and People that live in the Arctic. Joshua and Caleb weren't too happy about that info. All in all, it was a pretty good day. (Dispite that there was a guy tailgating me with his brights flashing at me on the way home, he gave me the bird too, wonderful).

I asked my husband to buy me a sewing machine for our Anniversary in Aug. He asked, "You know how to sew?" I answered, "Uhh, yes." My reasoning for wanting a sewing machine? Well, I guess Sora has inspired me to wear more skirts. (Especially to church) But they can get expensive, and I know how to sew. My mother is a seamstress, she was my first teacher. I had a Clothing Class in High school. My first project was an apron. What pattern did I choose? The most complicated one apparently, (according to mother). I think it's still hanging on the back of her laundry room door :-) Sorry mom, I'll bring it home next time I come over, I promise. Also, what inspired me was The 1900 House on P.B.S. It was a hard life, but they did it. (I grew up in a 100 year old Victorian Farm House, my parents and three younger brothers still live there). I'm probably still going to wear pants when I work at the daycare, or lounging around at home. I'm just trying to find a little femininity in this world, where there is little to be found.

Something freaky happened to Joshua and I yesterday. Joshua was playing with Caleb's new Tonka truck right outside of our house. (Caleb was "Sleeping" upstairs). I'm folding laundry upstairs, I look out the window and see Josh, digging away. Then I hear him come in and run upstairs.
Josh- Mommy, my friend is outside and he's thirsty.
Me- What friend?
Josh- (yells downstairs) What's your name?
Me- (expecting a little boy) Can I help you?
50 year old Stranger- Can I come in and rest, I'm very tired, and thirsty.
Me-(locking the screen door) Umm... No. But I can give you some water. (I had a brain fart, what can I say)?
I know, I know. I shouldn't have opened the door to give him water, but I felt kind of bad for him. I'm thinking if this guy was going to try anything, it would've been done and over with by now, right? He ended up being harmless. But, he just kept on coming around our neighborhood, so I called the Sheriff's. They came and talked to us, but they couldn't find him. They asked me why I opened the door to give him water? I said "I don't know, and you'd think I would know better, with my dad being a retired Sheriff and all. They looked at me like I had roaches crawling on me. They were very disappointed in me to say the least. They let out a big "Ahh Man! Lady, don't ever, ever open the door for anyone, especially a man!" I felt so stupid, that I did something so irrational. They were really cool and nice officers though. Anyhow, I called them a second time because my next door neighbor and I saw the same guy, lurking around again. The Sheriff's came, and he was at the Catholic church, across the street. They took him back to the Half way house where he lived. I told Joshua as soon as he see's a stranger walk towards him to run in the house and lock the door, and don't ever let them in. He wasn't the least bit scared, in fact I think he enjoyed the drama of it all. God is always here protecting us, even when we don't realize it. Thank you Jesus!

Felix Natalis Tibi

At 5:49p.m. on April 7, 2000 my sweet baby Caleb was born. 10 pounds 5oz. 22 and a half inches long. Two words, "No - Drugs." I think I'll have it the same way next time too. The recovery was awsome! I was up and dressed and ready to take on the world, after Caleb was born. The tiredness came only when I didn't take naps when he did. Otherwise, I was ready and willing to do what it took to be all I could possibly be for both of my little men. It was none of my own doing, it was all God. He gave me the energy and the strength that I needed for my family. It was kind of weird because I expected to feel tired, engorged, and grouchy. I was none of the above. I was joyful, and grateful. From the get-go, Caleb was such a sweet, quiet, and even tempered little baby. Felix Natalis Careh, Caleb! (Latin for- Happy Birthday Boy, Caleb!) I love you, Caleb.

Ikea

I love this place! We finally purchased the long awaited Bunk Beds! Caleb and Joshua were hounding us for a whole month before we actually bought them. They were listening one day to Bob and I discuss how we were going to use our tax refund. They heard the words "Bunk Beds," and it was all over after that. Everytime Caleb would find a coin on the ground, he would say, "Momma, uh, he's money fo bunk beds." (Imagine those words in a New York accent, that's how he talks). Everytime I would go to get the mail, Joshua would follow me and say,"Did you get the 'Big Check' for our bunk beds? Did you, well, did you, huh?" Alas, I was able to shout it out from the roof tops, "Yes, we got it! We got the big check!" All I heard after that were screams of delight :-o
Yay!

Kip has his own blog now!
